Panels

Call for Panels

ICDE 2020 is expected to bring together cutting edge research works from academia and industry in data engineering. We invite panel proposals on all aspects of data engineering. We encourage submissions on issues of current interest to the community that are well suited to open discussion and debate.

Submission Guidelines

Each proposal should include the title of the panel, the names, affiliations, and brief biographies of the moderator and the panelists, and a brief (no more than one page in the ICDE 2020 submission format) description of the content and format of the discussion. Panels should focus on discussion and engage with the audience. We discourage formats that revolve around prepared slides and lengthy individual presentations by the panelists. The proposals of panels should include specific and provocative topics in the field of data and engineering to be discussed by the panel, and should clearly illustrate the following questions:

  1. Why is the topic interesting to the ICDE academics and industrials?
  2. Why is this topic well suited to an open panel discussion?
  3. What should attendees expect to gain from the panel?

Short panel summaries will appear in the ICDE 2020 conference proceedings. Panel proposals should be submitted by e-mail to the address [email protected] as PDF attachments.
